- Your domain name
- Your ZIP code, alternate email address, or date of birth (you need to choose one which of them you want to give)
- The last eight (8) digits of the credit card used to pay for your account
- The type of card you used
- Description of the record you are requesting, including the host names to be registered and their valid IP address.
STEP 6: Enter the new PRIMARY and SECONDARY name servers. The portal allows you to enter four (4) name servers although they are not usually needed. However, it is customary to have at least two (2) name servers for a reason that includes redundancy, load balancing, etc.
STEP 7: Click “Submit” button.
Note: For instance with any changes to DNS records, the changes can take up to 72 hours to transmit if there are cached records at the resolvers that haven’t expired.
STEP 8: When you are done changing the name server, lock the domain settings by clicking “Domain Control Panel”.
